‘The financial crisis would not have happened if the banks were run by women,’
- Britain would not have endured the worst financial crisis in living memory if the banks had been run by women, the boss of Virgin Money has claimed.
- The outspoken comments come as the Government ratchets up pressure on British firms to increase the number of women in senior roles,
- Earlier this month Lloyds pledged that 40 per cent of its top jobs 5,000 most senior roles will be filled by women by 2020.
