Financial Ombudsman Service release complaints figures

The Financial Ombudsman Service have published their annual review which shows that the amount of complaints made to year end 2012/13 had risen by a massive 92% from the previous year, equating to almost 7000 complaints per day.
Complaints against advisers have risen by 45% yet still account for less than 1% of the overall figure.
Those complaints involving banks rose over 120% with 69% of the complaints relating to mortgages. Only 2% of the complaints against advisers involved mortgage products.
