  • On 3 March 2009 the FTSE 100 index hit 3512,09, its lowest point during the financial crisis, while the US market also hit rock bottom three days later, the S&P dropping as low as 666 in intraday trading.
  • The best performing fund over the past five years is Paul Marriage’s £1.3bn UK Smaller Companies  fund. Over five years, the fund has returned 433%, versus the FTSE Small Cap Index (ex IT) return of 263%.
  • Ed Legget’s UK Equity Unconstrained fund takes the third position with a 418% return over the period
