Labour could impact buy-to-let lending
With Labour proposing to crack down on bad landlords in the private sector, experts are warning that this could have a huge impact on buy-to-let sales.
Chris Norris, policy adviser from the National Landlords Association suggests that landlords would have “very severe concerns” about Labour’s proposals.
He said: “We could see a return to the lending policies of a few decades ago when returns were not as secure as they are now. That could have a massive knock-on effect on the ability of landlords to access finance and provide homes.”
