Public need to be educated on financial advice
The Chartered Insurance Institute are calling for advisers to educate the public on the value of face-to-face professional advice.
They believe that the Retail Distribution Review (RDR) has had a positive effect on consumer perceptions and more people have been encouraged to seek financial advice – but due to the limited impact that bodies such as the FCA and the Money Advice Service have on the unadvised consumers, advisers are being encouraged to do more to reach this particular market.
